In honor of all the prospective new students visiting campus today, The Daily Californian asked Cal alumni to reflect on their time at UC Berkeley.

Ultimately, you’re deciding two things — whether to accept your offer despite it being spring admission, and, if you do, whether to participate in FPF.

Like many UC Berkeley students, I was a massive nerd in high school. As a freshman, my goal was to get into a big name school.

The Lawrence Hall hovers above the campus, a place you’ve probably seen at least peripherally but haven’t actually traversed.

Before you can kick back and enjoy the weekend we’ve all been waiting for — Cal Day! — it’s only right that you have the perfect music to vibe to.

Whether it’s in the STEM fields or the humanities, UC Berkeley’s size and funding means that there’s almost certainly someone here on campus researching something you’re interested in.

UC Berkeley's 14 schools and colleges offer a nearly endless supply of degrees — from undergraduate minors in education to doctorate programs in information management. What do they all have in common? The students, who act as a constant source of ingenuity and passion on campus.
