Retrospective Issue 2017

It is during this time that we should reflect and imagine how the pieces of ourselves will impact us in the coming year and beyond.

I won’t be reading a list of resolutions to my relatives. Instead, I’ll tell them the simple truth: My resolution is to change.

But by the end of the season, under new head coach Justin Wilcox, hope had replaced lowly prospects for the season, and the voice of the cynic had been muffled.

Across all genres, 2017 has seen some new breakouts and returning heavyweights tackle the roiling social and political climate this year has brought — or help us escape it.
