Cal’s men’s and women’s crew teams both had successful races at the Redwood Shores with fast and consistent racing plans that were well-executed.

The County of Alameda’s recent legal ruling has blocked the proposed construction of beach volleyball courts for the UC Berkeley women’s beach volleyball team. 

The US Department of Education, or ED, has released a notice of proposed rulemaking, or NPRM, establishing a violation of Title IX should an educational institution place a categorical ban on transgender students participating in athletics aligned with their gender identity.

Sophomore Abram Moudi is running for ASUC Senate on four platforms: environmental sustainability, Cal sports, mental health resources and food security. Moudi intends on majoring in business administration and political economy and is running to make campus “the best Berkeley can possibly be.”

Edgar hopes to expand the scope of the position, allowing future EAVPs to introduce legislation in the state capital, rather than just lobbying. He wants student voices to be recognized in all forms of government and strengthen relationships between UC Berkeley students and state and national legislators.  

The crimes reported include robberies at gunpoint outside of student residential housing, car break-ins and sexual battery. Meanwhile, students have taken to Reddit and other social media platforms, expressing concerns of needing to protect themselves on campus.
