After an eventful weekend the Bears are set to play No. 4 Washington State on Friday at 7 p.m., followed by a match against Washington on Sunday at 12 p.m.

Last weekend in Salt Lake City, Utah, Cal volleyball, again, found itself incurring dents in the shining armor of its 11-0 preseason record. Coming off of a loss in their Pac-12 opener against Stanford, the Bears fell just short in a five-set battle to Utah.

This Sunday, the Bears will have an opportunity to even their conference record in Salt Lake City against the Utah Utes.

After an eventful weekend at the Wolf Pack Invitational, Cal volleyball remains undefeated with an 11-0 record as a result of back-to-back wins against Montana State and Nevada.

The Bears are entering conference play looking healthy, holding the No. 2 position in the Pac-12 after a dominant preseason.

After taking the crown at the Bobcat Classic in Texas last weekend — where the Bears swept the court with Southeastern Louisiana, Texas State and Abilene Christian — they are feeling more confident than ever to take on their two remaining preseason match-ups, Montana State and Nevada.

The Bears finished dead last in the Pac-12 last season with zero conference wins. This season, Cal has yet to experience the taste of defeat with a perfect 9-0 record, occupying No. 2 in the Pac-12 rankings.

This last weekend at Haas, Cal volleyball had an impressive home-opener, taking the W over both Portland State and Southern Utah.

After a successful three-game sweep at last weekend’s Army Tournament in West Point, New York, the Bears look to bring this momentum into upcoming matchups with Portland State and Southern Utah.
